About Me

I’ve been a teacher, student, librarian and photographer for the past 38 years.  Community development, long-term thinking and enthusiastic curiosity are part of everything I do.  I have an overdeveloped sense of justice.

I currently live on the summit of an extinct volcano, in the middle a body of water called the Pacific Ocean, on the third planet of the Sol System in the Orion-Cygnus Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy.

As a Humanities Librarian at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Library, I work with a variety of humanities faculty and students supporting research and instruction, teach courses in R, Python and 21st century information literacy, and optimistically struggle prevent the coming of another Dark Age.
